Symposium TR4HP#3

On 4 and 5 December 2025, the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne organised the 2025 edition of the symposium “Transdisciplinary Research for a Healthy Planet” on the Croix-Rouge campus in Reims.

This event aimed to raise students’ and early-career researchers’ awareness of the challenges of ecological transition and to highlight transdisciplinary research projects.

Open to master’s students, doctoral students, early-career researchers, and academic staff, the symposium brought together around 250 participants and was part of the training offered by the Doctoral Schools.

The programme was structured around an opening lecture with the screening of the film “Arctic Glaciers: Current Status” by Pierre Dugowson, followed by a discussion with the director, as well as a closing conference by Philippe Grandcolas (CNRS) on the relationship between humans and biodiversity.

Three scientific sessions were organised:

  • Human–Nature Relationship,
  • Nature-Based Solutions,
  • Poster Sessions and Doctoral Awards.

Poster sessions, including flash presentations and the presentation of Poster Awards, completed the programme, promoting the visibility of doctoral research and exchanges between participants.

Symposium TR4HP#2

On 15 and 16 February 2024, the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne hosted the second edition of the symposium “Transdisciplinary Research for a Healthy Planet” on the Croix-Rouge campus in Reims.

This event aimed to raise awareness among students and early-career researchers of the challenges of ecological transition and to showcase the transdisciplinary research carried out at URCA and within its scientific networks.

Open to master’s students, doctoral students, researchers, and academic staff, as well as actors from the socio-economic sector, the symposium brought together approximately 150 participants and formed part of the training offered by the Doctoral Schools.

The programme featured a plenary scientific lecture by Valérie Masson-Delmotte (CEA – LSCE, co-chair of an IPCC working group), a round-table dedicated to doctoral pathways, as well as three scientific sessions:

  • Climate change sentinels,
  • Preserving ecosystems,
  • Sobriety.

Poster sessions, including the awarding of Poster Awards, complemented the programme, promoting the visibility of doctoral research and facilitating exchanges between participants.

Symposium TR4HP#1

On 30 and 31 March 2023, the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne hosted the first edition of the European symposium “Transdisciplinary Research for a Healthy Planet” on the Croix Rouge campus in Reims.

This event aimed to highlight the role of transdisciplinary research in addressing the challenges of ecological transition and the preservation of the planet, based on the One Health concept.

Open to registration for a wide audience (doctoral students, researchers, students, and actors from the socio-economic sector), the symposium was structured around three scientific sessions:

  • Develop a circular economy for climate,
  • Zero pollution in air, soil and water,
  • Artificial Intelligence for a sustainable bioeconomy.

This symposium forms part of the actions promoted by EXEBIO in support of scientific dialogue, interdisciplinarity, and the dissemination of knowledge at the European level.
