About the Master

The Master’s degree in Design Engineering – Sustainable Engineering track is a multidisciplinary programme designed to train scientific and technical professionals capable of developing innovative solutions to environmental, energy and societal challenges.

Delivered in Cotonou, Benin, by the Institut international en bioéconomie et environnement EXEBIO of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne in collaboration with Sèmè City Institute of Technology and Innovation (SCITI), the programme is offered as a French degree programme abroad. Students complete their entire programme in Benin while obtaining a French state-recognised degree.

The programme combines mechanics, thermal engineering, materials science, energy, sustainable construction and process engineering, with a strong focus on sustainable development, energy efficiency and the valorisation of local resources.

Through practical work, projects and professional immersion, students develop the ability to design, optimise and implement innovative products, systems and processes adapted to environmental, energy and societal challenges.
