The International Master’s in Bioeconomy and Environment EXEBIO is an international and interdisciplinary programme offered by the International Institute for Bioeconomy and Environment EXEBIO at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA).
The programme adopts a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together natural and environmental sciences as well as the social sciences and humanities. It aims to train hybrid profiles capable of combining scientific, environmental, economic and management knowledge to address the complexity of the challenges associated with the ecological transition and the development of a sustainable bioeconomy.
The first year is delivered at URCA and enables students to acquire a common academic foundation. In the second year, the programme offers opportunities to explore different areas of bioeconomy and environmental studies, including human–ecosystem interactions, resources and production, and plant protection technologies. Semester 4 is dedicated to an internship, enabling students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme and prepare for their professional careers.
Through its teaching, links with research and engagement with socio-economic stakeholders, the Master’s programme enables students to develop scientific, technical and transferable skills suited to the current challenges of bioeconomy and the environment.
